Oomap has always been, and will continue to be, free but users often want to contribute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until recently all these costs were incurred by Oomap&#8217;s founder, <a href=\"https:\/\/oomap.co.uk\/\">Oliver O&#8217;Brien<\/a>.  More recently, I have taken on the development and then hosting (at<a href=\"https:\/\/oomap.dna-software.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> https:\/\/oomap.dna-software.co.uk<\/a>).  In addition to this server, Stephen Borrill is now hosting a backup server at <a href=\"https:\/\/oomap.ptlnet.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/oomap.ptlnet.com<\/a> to add extra resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To simplify support and prompted by Oliver, the site now has a single &#8220;Support Oomap&#8221; button:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"ko-fi-button\" data-text=\"Support Oomap\" data-color=\"#bf3f2b\" data-code=\"cadnant\" id=\"kofiShortcode474Html\" style=\"float: none; text-align: left;\" data-title=\"\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Any donations will be distributed between me as primary maintainer\/developer, Stephen (to contribute towards his hosting costs) and Oliver (to recognise his founding of oomap and development over <a href=\"https:\/\/oobrien.com\/2009\/12\/oom\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/oobrien.com\/2009\/12\/oom\/\">12 years<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Running Oomap costs real money for the hardware and running costs, and developing. maintaining and supporting Oomap costs real time.
